Scope
What this policy covers.
This policy covers three categories of purchase made on this site:
- Live cohorts — scheduled, instructor-led training sessions delivered on fixed dates via Google Meet.
- Self-paced courses — digital course content accessed immediately on purchase.
- Consultancy engagements — scoped analytical, advisory, or training services delivered under a written proposal.
Physical goods are not sold on this site. This policy does not apply to free resources or materials.
Live cohorts
Scheduled courses with fixed dates.
Right of withdrawal
Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase for distance contracts. You may cancel your enrolment within this period and receive a full refund, provided the first session has not yet taken place.
Waiver of withdrawal right
Live cohorts are tied to specific scheduled dates. By completing your purchase you acknowledge that the course is a service provided on a fixed date and that, pursuant to Article 16(l) of the Consumer Rights Directive, the right of withdrawal does not apply once the first session has taken place. This acknowledgement is recorded at checkout.
Summary
- Before the first session: full refund if requested within 14 days of purchase, or within the time remaining before the course begins, whichever is shorter.
- After the first session has taken place: no refund is issued.
- Partial attendance: no partial refunds are given for missed sessions.
Deferral
If you are unable to attend a cohort due to a documented medical or serious personal emergency, contact me before the course begins. Deferral to the next available cohort of the same course is offered at my discretion and does not constitute an entitlement.
Self-paced courses
Digital content accessed immediately.
Waiver of withdrawal right
Self-paced courses are digital content supplied online. Pursuant to Article 16(m) of the Consumer Rights Directive, the right of withdrawal is forfeited once delivery of the digital content has begun, provided the consumer has given prior express consent and acknowledged that the right of withdrawal is thereby lost. By completing your purchase you provide that consent and acknowledgement. This is recorded at checkout.
Summary
- Before any content is accessed: full refund within 14 days of purchase if you have not yet accessed any course material.
- After any content is accessed: no refund is issued.
Technical issues
If you are unable to access purchased content due to a technical fault on this site, contact me and I will resolve the issue or issue a full refund at your choice.
Consultancy engagements
Advisory and analytical services.
Before work begins
You may withdraw from a consultancy engagement without charge at any time before work has begun. Work is considered to have begun on the date of the first working session, deliverable, or written output agreed in the proposal, whichever occurs first.
After work has begun
If you withdraw from an engagement after work has begun, you are liable for a proportional charge covering the work completed up to the date of withdrawal. The proportional charge is calculated against the total engagement fee and the milestones set out in the written proposal. Any amount paid in excess of the proportional charge will be refunded within 14 days.
Early start with consent
If you expressly request that work begin during the 14-day withdrawal window and acknowledge that this reduces your right of withdrawal proportionally, work will begin on that basis. This consent is recorded in the engagement proposal.
Cancellation by us
When we cancel or reschedule.
Cohort cancelled
If a live cohort is cancelled, all enrolled participants receive a full refund within 14 days of the cancellation notice. No action is required on your part.
Cohort rescheduled
If a cohort is rescheduled to new dates, you will be notified immediately. If the new dates do not suit you, you may request a full refund within 14 days of the rescheduling notice. If you do not request a refund within that period, your enrolment will be transferred to the new dates.
Consultancy engagement terminated by us
If a consultancy engagement is terminated at our initiative before completion, a proportional refund covering the undelivered portion of the agreed scope will be issued within 14 days.
How to request a refund
The process.
Step 1 — Submit your request
Send a message via the contact page or by email. Include your order number (found in your confirmation email), the product or engagement name, and the reason for your request. You do not need to provide a reason if you are exercising your statutory right of withdrawal.
Step 2 — Acknowledgement
Refund requests are acknowledged within two working days. If further information is needed, you will be contacted promptly.
Step 3 — Processing
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method (card, Stripe, or PayPal) within 14 days of the date your request is approved. Processing times at your bank or payment provider may add 3–5 business days beyond that.
Disputes
If you are not satisfied with the outcome of a refund request, you may contact the Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority (MCCAA) or the European Consumer Centre Malta for independent assistance.
