Joseph Bonello is an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Malta. He has previously been engaged by the University of Malta to work on the ERDF 083 project, ICT in Manufacturing. His responsibility is to research detection of complex scheduling sub-problems and find ways to optimise them.
Mr Bonello has worked on various EU related projects. He worked on various IT projects for the Department of Customs during which time he has also attended many conferences abroad. He has managed the development of the IRRIIS project for a local member of the consortium. As part of his work, he has also gained experience developing commercial applications including work for local banking firms and government. He has experience with many languages, mainly C# .NET, Java, PHP and Delphi, as well as development experience with various databases including Oracle, SQL Server and MySql.
Mr. Bonello earned his B.Sc. (Hons) I.T. in 2002 from the University of Malta with a thesis on Peer-to-Peer Document Indexing and Searching for large organisations. He has earned his Master Degree at the University of Malta on Automated Detection and Optimisation of NP-Hard Scheduling Problems in Manufacturing.
